Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am a 16 year old from Southern California. My hobbies include singing, dancing, and acting. I also love to stay active in any way possible.
In terms of my scoliosis journey, I have been through just about it all. I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 8, and I started nighttime bracing. When that didn’t work, I lengthened my bracing to 16 hours a day, which meant I had to wear it at school. That came with its own struggles, as middle schoolers aren’t always the nicest. After that did not work, I had spinal fusion surgery 3 years ago when my curves were in the 60 degrees range. I also had complications with my surgery, which ended up being perfectly fine. Nonetheless, I have gone through every stage of scoliosis.
I love to help others in any way shape or form. I especially love to help others when I have been through the exact same thing and can give them genuinely helpful advice. I look forward to making strong connections with people to allow them to be excited to share all that they’re feeling regarding scoliosis. I also think it is super important to have an outlet where girls can support each other and lift each other up, and it will be an honor to facilitate that.
