Senior Curvy Leader 2011

My name is Emily. I started with Curvy Girls after watching the TeenNick HALO AWARDS. I was so surprised to see a girl (as I didn’t know Leah’s name at first) that had scoliosis. I saw she had started a support group in her state for girls just like her. Before that I thought I was one of only a few people that had scoliosis.

I was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 7. For treatment, I was braced for 5 years and then a few years later had spinal fusion as my curve continued to grow despite being physically done growing.

Previously, I was the leader for the Oklahoma Chapter and with my recent move to Wyoming, I look forward to continuing to pass on the support and community connections that is Curvy Girls!
