Hi, I’m Netty. I’m 18 years old and I live in Zambia. I love to read, bake and listen to music. I’ll be going to university in January, 2019.

I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis when I was 15 with a progressing curve of 18 degrees and was given a brace a few months later. After bracing for 2 years, I started to experience pain in my legs which led to me having surgery in September, 2018 despite my curve being 34 degrees. So far, my life has been great and I don’t regret undergoing surgery.

I’ve decided to lead a Curvy Girls’ Support Group here in Zambia because no girl deserves to feel as alone as I did through my Scoliosis journey. The group will certainly provide an avenue for curvy girls to share experiences with others going through similar circumstances.
