Hi, I’m Carolyn! I love sports, including soccer, basketball, and volleyball! I also love to cook, hang out with my friends, and love being challenged at school! I was diagnosed with scoliosis in summer of 2025. My doctor said that I needed a brace immediately because I had two curves and both were at about 35 degrees. I wear my brace 16 hours a day.

When I heard about Curvy Girls, I knew I would love it. I was even more excited to find I could start a local chapter in Kansas City and be around a lot of people who understand what it is like to have a brace! My hope is to encourage girls in our scoliosis journey and learn from others who have done this. Curvy Girls is awesome and I’m so glad to be a part of it!

I want to support others who are having a hard time. I would love to show you it is okay. It would mean so much to bond with other girls like me. If you are worried how it will look at school, or people noticing, I would love to talk you through it and give you tips on clothes to wear and things like that. If you are worried about surgery, I would love giving you support through that with the other girls in our group. I would just love to help others through this chapter in their lives.
