Hi! My name is Zayna and I am currently a sophomore in High School! I love going to the lake, playing volleyball, spending time with my friends, playing Mahjong, and more! I was diagnosed with scoliosis in fifth grade, and I immediately had to get a brace. We explored different options, such as a night time brace, but we ultimately landed with a brace that I wore for 16 hours a day. I wore this brace for two years. It was a long and hard journey, but I learned valuable lessons of resilience and empathy through this process.

I am looking forward to being a Curvy Girls leader so I can create a supportive environment for girls facing the same challenges I went through! Having a group of people that truly understands what you are going through can provide comfort and encouragement that is extremely helpful in the scoliosis process! I know how helpful a supportive community is, and I want to be able to create that for other girls! My goal is to provide a community that nurtures a sense of belonging and understanding for the girls in my community.
